Shingeki no Kyojin ep. 5: I only have one thing to say…

I don’t think I have the heart for Shingeki no Kyojin anymore.

I just watched the fifth episode, and now a part of my towel is soaked in tears. I think Azula pretty much imitates how much I was crying. I won’t spoil anything, even though what I’ve already said connotes to expecting some tragedy in the new episode.

I really want to read the manga now to find some sort of comfort about the ending but this is one anime where I don’t want to spoil anything for myself. I just want the surprises to keep coming-as heart wrenching as it may be. I can honestly say Shingeki has the most emotional impact on me than any anime I’ve watched so far.

I’ll only mention one thing: the intention of the giant naked people. Apparently they have no interest in fauna except the humans which means they’re a territorial bunch. So they see these tiny people, who look like them and are inhabiting their territory, so they take them on as game to eliminate them. I think I’d just jump off a building if I was in that situation. Somehow I think that’s better than being chomped on or ripped to pieces.

Oh and another thing, the fight scene was pretty cool, I love their little Spider-Man like movements.

Well that’s all.

I think I’ve made a name for this giant.

I shall call him Kratos, just to distinguish him from the lesser giants. And the armored one shall be named Kronos.

Also, Eren is really becoming quite the motivational speaker. I want to understand the depth of Mikasa’s loyalty to him as well. Somehow, I don’t think it’s just her sense of obligation because he’s family. I think it touches something deeper for her.

The King too! (wow I’m saying more than I intended) How like the king to only be concerned for his own wellbeing. I wasn’t too surprised about that, I really expected him to be that sort of person.

And that is really all I have to say about this episode.
