Journal of anime ramblings, fiction works and reflections
Greetings I bring you with cake!
I finally caught up with all my anime episodes. And once again Shingeki no Kyojin left me in tears (episode 4). The end of the episode just attacked my mind with so many questions and consequentially left me sobbing over the safety of my favorite characters. But I have to wait until the next episode to assure myself that they’ll be okay. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Eren.
I love his character (naturally)! He reminds me of Ichigo a lot for some reason. He’s stamped in my top ten favorite male anime characters list. When the Titan appeared (I think he’s just made out of muscle…and teeth – a little skin here and there) I had a minor heart attack because to me, it just seemed like it was just Eren’s imagination that put Titan there. But to know it was actually there…yeah my heart failed me a little. I really wasn’t expecting that, I just thought they’d leave the attack scenes for the next episode but no. Well that was the highlight of the episode for me, along with meeting the badass blond girl who Eren learnt some hand-to-hand combat moves from.
Her look scared me right here.
I picked up on Yahari Ore no Seishun too and I’m absolutely loving it. Especially since there seems to be some Yaoi elements surfacing. And I really love that!
Saika seems to be another Yukimura to me – a gender confused munchkin.
I was thinking I’d do episodic commentaries for this series but with my upcoming Finals, I doubt I’d get to squeeze in enough time for that. Exams start next week and I’m not really happy about it. Then again I’m never happy about exams. I really can’t wait for it to be over. I think the last anime I have left to catch up on is Karneval, another series I’m enjoying because of my fangirl crush on Gareki.
That and I actually enjoy the plot and beautiful characters. Karneval is an awesome spectacle, reminds me of K anime to an extent because of the amazing art.
I think that’s it. I’m waiting for the new episode of Hataraku Maou-Sama and Devil Survivor 2. So I think these are my top six anime of the season:
Even though I didn’t really mention it, I really love Red Data Girl. The plot is good, so are the characters. I like the character development even though I think the plot progression is a bit slow, but it’s still good. I guess I’m waiting for some romance to spark between Sagari and Suzuhara.
Hopeless romantic here.
Moving away from anime, have any of you watched Da Vinci’s Demons? It’s an amazing series so far. After the finale of Spartacus and the drainage of my tear ducts I swore off watching anymore Starz series but I caught it yesterday and it’s really good. It reminded me of Sherlock. I love Da Vinci’s character.
Hmm, I think I’ve cleared up all that I wanted to say. Hope you have a good day!
