Journal of anime ramblings, fiction works and reflections
Yeah! The anime challenge is about to be done and out of the way. To be honest, I was trying to make up my mind on who I’d want to cosplay (which is the last question/challenge).
Lady from Devil May Cry! For some reason I was stuck between her and Tifa from Final Fantasy. But I like her outfit more. I’m partial to knee high boots and she has far more gear than Tifa. So yeah, I’d just be walking around looking like a badass and pretending to fight things, stuck in my chuunibyou moment.
Then, I’d find a Dante cosplayer, imagine that he’s the real Dante, and we’d pretend to hunt demons. And the world would be a happy place.
In other news, I found this online!
So on Friday, while I was miserably searching for Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (because of nostalgia while watching the gameplay), I found the ACTUAL game online. I think I suffered a minor heart attack from the joy.
After 10 years of being (well 7 since I stopped trying at 16) stuck at level 3 (I suck) I’m finally at the level 5 dungeon, which took me from Friday up ’til now to reach. Right now I’m just walking around in circles in game since I’m not ready to brave the fifth dungeon. The fourth was hard as hell. Now I know why I didn’t pass level three cause I’d have probably destroyed my SP because of my frustrations and I wanna save it as my childhood treasure. I died about ten times doing the fourth dungeon.
I haven’t watched any new anime episodes yet, except for Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru (lit. My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong as I Expected). It’s a nice anime so far, reminds me of Haganai to an extent because the premise is slightly similar to me. The main protagonist is an anti-social male (Hachiman Hikigaya) who has a warped, pessimistic view of youths and he’s put in a Volunteers Club with Yukino Yukinoshita, who is called the “Ice Queen” because of her blunt personality. The club’s purpose is to help persons who need the extra support to carry out a task. Then there’s Yui, a girl trying to fit in with the popular crowd but gets pushed around, who then joins the club.
So far it’s entertaining and funny, I like Hiki, even though he’s so pessimistic.
I also watched Sparrow’s Hotel. The first anime I’ve seen that spans only 3 minutes. At first I thought there was some error and checked on a next anime site and saw that it’s actually just a 3 minute show. It’s nothing special but it has its funnies. It’s about this big-breasted woman, Satou, who gets hired at Sparow’s Hotel as its bouncer. So whenever fights break out at the hotel, she steps in and fights the criminals and her big boobs attract men to the hotel, so she’s also being used for her fan service.
Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge…well this anime deserves an entry to itself so I can rant about it properly. The first episode didn’t impress me too much but I wasn’t put off by it. But then the second episode came along…
