I haven’t posted this 30-day challenge in awhile and I have no real excuse except that I’ve been having a terrible writer’s block. I didn’t even plan to do a commentary on the last episode of Zetsuen but it’s bad enough that I’ve already taken such a hiatus on Haganai NEXT.
Day 23: Anime you think had the best, or most intriguing art
I don’t think I could give the award to any other anime. K Project really put itself high up there when it comes to animation. And if the plot had went as terrifically as the art, this anime would have blown itself off the charts. But, probably the second season will redeem it and I’m hoping there is (more Yata for me!!)
The blue-green filter was a really nice idea, it complemented the scenes well and I just liked how the hip-hop style meshed with the overall quality of the anime and how Suoh’s crew was characterized by that hip-hop mentality. It really gave them that “Swagged out” aura. The camera angles of the scenes – especially during Yata’s time on screen, skateboarding or fighting was a really nice touch. The art was really a distinguishable feature of the anime and scored points engaging me in it. The sound effects went well with everything too.
