Journal of anime ramblings, fiction works and reflections
YEAAAHHHH!! I’ve been waiting for this day to come so I could dedicate a post to my FAVORITE female anime character EVER. And that’s the day’s challenge: Favorite female anime character ever.
Saeko Busujima is one of the supporting characters in Highschool of the Dead. And THE BEST female supporting character in the anime series. She is just the epitome of BADASS-ERY. I never thought I would actually enjoy the dubbed version of this anime but the voice actors were ON POINT with their characters.
Except for that pink-haired chick, she kinda annoyed the hell outta me but the snobbish voice went well with her character. And Saeko’s voice actress (Taylor Hannah), was just perfect.
Saeko was just the most level-headed girl. At no time did she begin to blubber like a damsel in distress, or lose her cool. She was just useful through and through. All that, along with her carefree style of dress, her blunt way of talking and the little girly moments when she was alone with Takashi just made her perfect. Almost flawless.
She just has this fluid style when she fights.
She and Takashi are perfect, and I’m so glad he ended up crushing on her, because Rei is just…is just vapid compared to Saeko.
The fan service! How could I forget the fan service, that went totally overboard? But I could forgive it for Saeko…actually no because it was still very unnecessary, but at the same time it was a bit…interesting.
She also fought in that…skimpy attire. Such a wonder that her boobs never fell out. Oh! How could I forget the boob matrix. The Shujinko (Amnesia) syndrome is rubbing off on me.
Saeko was just the best. I read and also heard that Highschool of the Dead would be getting a second season, to be aired in June. I don’t know how true that is, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed…
Because I want more Saeko.
