Amnesia episode 2: Shoujo goodness

My computer froze for some time after I burst out into fits of fan girl screams. My God! I really don’t want to spoil the surprise for any other Amnesia fans who’re waiting to watch the second episode for themselves. I still can’t think straight right now after what I just watched. That was such a shockingly cute way to end the episode. I didn’t foresee it but I could tell some intimate actions were about to be triggered.

I can’t help myself. SHIN KISSED HER!! SHIN KISSED THE CLUELESS GIRL (calling her that since I still don’t know her name)!! It was such a cute and spontaneous way of doing it. It reminded me a bit of how Haru kissed Shizuku at the ending of the first episode of Tonari no Kaibatsu-kun. It wasn’t as rough as Haru’s, but it was just really smooth. Shin you sexy beast. Making gifs for it now would be a bit time consuming (my first review without a gif pertaining to the anime. I may have to come to accept that small disappointment from time to time.

Anime crying (Gomen ne~)

The second episode of Amnesia continued with the clueless girl trying to get back on track with her life and Orion is there to tag along with her and advise her during the course of her day and keep her at ease. I’m trying to understand why Orion is making a big deal about covering up her amnesia. It’s a bit so blatant the way she’s always spacing out and her aura just overflows with her blankness, even her tone drips with it (great job Kaori Nazuka). The supporting characters don’t seem to notice this though, since apparently she is “always like that”. That doesn’t come as a big surprise.

Oh, there was another cute guy to approach the scene, who coincidentally and conveniently came to save her while she spaced out and stared at a car, just waiting for it to hit her. Way to go clueless girl, magnetizing all these gorgeous guys to you by just being so…vapid. However, his gorgeousness doesn’t last for long, apparently it’s a facade to his true psychotic villainous self (so it would seem). I noticed something that didn’t really catch my eye at first. I was wondering what the significance of the cards were but then realized, each guy has a specific card tagged on his person. Shin is the card of Hearts (Queen of hearts – or King rather and after episode 2 I really don’t doubt that), Toma is the Diamond (in the rough), Kento is the Club (I have no idea what that is associate with) and Ikki is the card of Spades. So I’m guessing these cards are going to be significant on a symbolical level with regards to each guy.

There are objects that trigger her memory; like the firecracker candles that triggers the short memory of Shin confessing to her that he had killed someone, and the rain which brings back the vague recollection of Kento reminding her of a promise he had made. When confronted though, Kento seems to be clueless as to what she speaks of. That is all for the plot’s progress and the psycho gorgeous man trails her to the vacation house.

As for the clueless girl, I really cannot understand how she falls without even moving a reasonable inch or centimeter forward. I wish I could make gifs, but alas, it is a school night and I’ve already done enough damage watching Amnesia but it was worth it. I’m biased towards cute scenes, being a hopeless romantic sap when it comes to Shoujo anime/manga. I’ll just keep coming back for more. And I can’t help the fact that I love these gorgeous faces!

AMNESIA-2013-imageAnyway, I’ll keep watching this anime. The eye candy is definitely what keeps me coming back for more and the promising romance dramas that are about to take root. That aside though, on a more serious note, the anime has me engaged and I actually want to know how she came to lose her memories and what she remembers. I can put aside my annoyance with her utter uselessness (at least she’s good with the team hockey game). I really love the artwork of the anime though and the OP/ED songs and I wish I’d gotten the chance to play the Otome game before it was made into the anime.

I can’t even choose who I’d want to end up with *stares at each of them* KYAA~! I’m still having a serious fan girl moment. I need to calm down.
